[feature] Add end date field for subscriptions (after trial start)
• What’s happening: No way to define a subscription end date in the “Edit Subscription” flow after setting a trial start. • What you expected instead: Ability to set an end date (placed after “Start Trial”) when editing a subscription.
[feature] Show total spend in selected currency
Users with subscriptions in different currencies cannot see a unified total so we do currently offer Multi-currency support. However, for the insights and stats we need to consider: Goal: Show total spend in selected currency Keep original values visible
Lifetime plan
[bug] Lifetime plan granted through Subio’s official “Lifetime for Free” offer was removed from my account What’s happening: I previously claimed and activated Subio’s “Lifetime for Free” offer that was made available by Subio. The offer was successfully activated on my account, and my account was upgraded to the paid/lifetime plan. I used the paid features normally for a period of time without any issue. However, I recently opened the app and unexpectedly found that my account had been downgraded to the Free plan, and I am now being asked to pay around 1,000 EGP to purchase the Lifetime plan. This is unacceptable. I did not independently claim or create this Lifetime entitlement — it was an offer provided and administered by Subio, and I activated it through the proper process. The Lifetime plan was then successfully applied to my account and remained active while I was using the service. What I expected instead: I expect Subio to honor the Lifetime entitlement that was previously granted to my account and restore my account to the Lifetime paid plan at no additional cost. I should not be asked to pay for a plan that was already legitimately granted to me through an offer provided by Subio itself. If Subio made an error in the way this offer was configured, tracked, or applied to user accounts, that is an internal issue on Subio’s side and should not be transferred to the customer who legitimately accepted the offer and received the Lifetime plan. I would also like a clear explanation of why my Lifetime entitlement was removed after it had already been successfully activated and used. Please treat this as a formal complaint and resolve the issue by restoring my Lifetime plan. If this is not resolved, I reserve my right to escalate the matter through the appropriate consumer-protection and legal channels and seek compensation for any losses or damages resulting from the removal of a paid/lifetime entitlement that Subio itself granted to my account. I expect this matter to be investigated properly rather than simply being told to purchase the Lifetime plan again.
[Feature]
Is it possible for widgets to be implemented. Many thanks
[feature] Show subscriptions due today on home screen
Users currently only see upcoming subscriptions under “Up next,” which may not highlight what is due today clearly. Goal: Highlight subscriptions due today on home screen Improve visibility of immediate charges Optionally integrate with main summary section
Suivi suggestions

Backup to iCloud
Would really love the ability to automatically backup to iCloud and be able to import backups from iCloud on new devices.
[feature] Track payment method used for each subscription
Users may have multiple payment methods (cards, crypto, etc.) and want to know which one is used per subscription. Goal: Assign payment method to subscriptions Display it clearly Improve tracking and clarity
[feature] Confirm when a subscription payment is completed
Users want to confirm when a payment has actually been processed, especially when using multiple payment methods. Goal: Allow marking a subscription as paid Show payment confirmation state Improve tracking across payment sources
[improvement] Add multiple reminder timings

5Committed and queued
[feature] Add end date for non-renewable subscriptions
Not all subscriptions auto-renew, but the app currently assumes they do. Goal: Add optional end date field Stop reminders after expiry
[feature] Support price changes for future billing cycles
Subscription prices can change over time, but currently there’s no way to reflect that. Goal: Allow updating price from next billing cycle Keep historical spending accurate
[feature] Add multiple reminders (e.g. 7 days and 3 days before)
One reminder is often not enough for users to stay on top of subscriptions. Goal: Allow multiple reminders per subscription Support custom reminder timing
Widget for the upcoming renewal
Appreciated if Subio could create a widget which shows the latest upcoming renewal showing the icon with Name and number of days left - Like a timer on my home screen.
[feature] Export subscription data
Users currently cannot export their subscription data, limiting usability and control. Goal: Allow export of subscription data (CSV or similar) Provide users with full ownership of their data

5Actively being built
[improvement] Add theme / color customization
Users may prefer different visual styles. Goal: Provide multiple themes Allow simple customization Update: In the new version 1.2.0, users are enabled to change the color of the theme.
[improvement] Smarter app/icon suggestions
Adding subscriptions manually can take time. Goal: Suggest apps and icons while typing Reduce friction Update: As the user types a subscription, we recommend the relevant providers. However, we are still working on extending the providers list which will impact this feature as well.
[feature] Add link to subscription provider
Users may want to quickly access the service they are subscribed to. Goal: Add optional link field Open app or website directly Update: We already have this on the subscription page. However, the UX/UI might need to be improved. Check attached screenshot.
[feature] Upload custom icons from gallery or link
Some services don’t have icons, making them harder to recognize. Goal: Either one of these options can help the users customise their subscriptions alot easirer.9 Upload icon from photo gallery Search an app on App Store for the logo Support JPG/PNG and image links Allow basic editing if needed Update: In the upcoming version 1.2.0, we have enabled users to: Search an app on App Store and select the Icon Use an image link to import the icon
[bug] Screenshot import struggles with multiple subscriptions
Importing screenshots with multiple subscriptions sometimes leads to incorrect parsing or missing data. Goal: Improve parsing for multi-item screenshots Ensure consistent detection across formats

[improvement] Add feedback link inside the app
Users currently need to leave the app to share feedback, which adds friction and reduces the number of suggestions. Goal: Add a visible “Share feedback” entry inside the app Link directly to the feedback/roadmap page Make it easy to report bugs or suggest improvements in seconds
[feature] Add more app/service logos
Several popular services are missing from the icon library. Goal: Expand icon coverage (e.g. YouTube, Copilot, Acorns) Continuously improve icon library
[bug] Calendar shows wrong default month on startup
• What’s happening: On app launch, the calendar always shows February 2024 until the user switches tabs and returns. • What you expected instead: The calendar should open on the current month by default without needing any navigation workaround.
[improvement] Remember selected sort option in subscription list
• What’s happening: The app resets the sorting in the “View All Subscriptions” list instead of remembering the user’s last selected sort (e.g., “next renewal”). • What you expected instead: The app should remember the last chosen sort option or allow setting a default sort (e.g., via an “always sort by this view” toggle).
[feature] Filter subscriptions by payment method
Users may want to view subscriptions grouped by payment method (e.g. specific card, account). Goal: Allow filtering by payment method Improve visibility of spending per payment source
[improvement] Add links to other apps developed by Unlock
Users who enjoy Subio may be interested in other apps developed by Unlock, but there is currently no easy way to discover them. Goal: Add a section to showcase other apps Provide direct links to download them Place it in a non-intrusive location (e.g. settings or profile)
[improvement] Add search inside icon picker
Finding icons becomes difficult when the list is large. Goal: Add search bar Search by app/service name Update: In the new version 1.2.0, we’ve implemented this so users can easily find subscriptions. We’ve also added categories.
[improvement] Differentiate owned vs shared profiles on shared screen
On the shared screen, it’s not always clear which profiles the user owns and which ones have been shared with them. This can create confusion when managing subscriptions across multiple profiles. Goal: Clearly distinguish between profiles the user owns and profiles shared with them Use visual cues (e.g. color, labels, or icons) Make ownership immediately understandable at a glance
[improvement] Show region-based subscriptions instead of global defaults
Some users couldn’t find subscriptions from their region (e.g. China), even though they were already available in the app. The issue was that by default, we showed globally popular services, which made region-specific subscriptions harder to discover. Goal: Show relevant subscriptions based on the user’s App Store region Improve visibility of local services Still allow users to switch country and explore all subscriptions Why this is important This fixes a silent UX issue: Users thought features were missing ❌ But it was actually a discovery problem
[improvement] Show privacy message during subscription import
Users may feel hesitant when importing sensitive data like bank statements or emails, especially if it’s unclear how their data is handled. We’ve added a clear privacy message to reassure users that their data stays on their device. Goal: Clearly communicate that import processing happens on-device Reassure users that no data is sent to external servers Increase trust when importing sensitive information
